Hull painting

I'm happy with the hull paint so far, I still need to apply the gold line but the roll ordered was faulty and looked like a bad attempt with a very wobbly brush.

Waiting for sails, paint,deck fittings and the time to get on with it!

RC instalation

Rough fit of winch and rudder servos, sturdy construction of pine laminated and skinned with glass cloth. I was advised to over-engineer this by My friend Howard, I think it will last a few years!

Mast & boom

The mast and main boom were covered in years of grime and paint spots, after a good rub down, varnish and new brass eyes there looking great.

Rudder

The rudder, shaft and tube were removed and cleaned a few years ago so just needing re fitted in the hull and glued into place.

Monsoon Yacht.

I need to get more practised at model sailing and I'm getting a bit impatient with the restoration. Iv'e just bought a Monsoon RC yacht,MONSOON ready to sail so I can feed My need to sail,NOW!!

Drawing the line.

After saying I wouldn't have a painted water line, I've changed the old mind and will be painting the hull dark green below and white above , with a gold line. I have never drawn a waterline before, but with a bit of prep and a flat level solid oak dinning table, it went quite well.
